How to use a Hand Sewing Needle.

This Toolset focuses on how to use a hand sewing needle
Mindset is: Here is an opportunity to explore a new DPE area and new skills

The Learning Intentions for this toolset lesson are as follows:
Students will learn

How to thread a needle.
How to tie a knot.
How to sew on a button.
How to tie a knot to finish off work.

Success Criteria
Students will know they have been successful when they have sewn buttons onto fabric and added value with an original creative design idea.

Skilsets are our "how"...

Developed over several years, this is the Design Process we use to create a product - while growing our Mindsets.

A Challenge can be found or given

Generating Ideas is where more thoughts are created, collected or discovered. It is the 'breadth' or developing the top of the "T Shaped" person.

Prototyping or Ideating is where the vast wealth of ideas are narrowed down to fewer and fewer. It is the 'depth' or developing the bottom o the "T Shaped" person.

Celebrate is "So what, now what?" What will I do with it? This will relate to the audience in the Challenge.

Refine happens all the time and informs our next steps. It requires outside input.
